Does Alpenland Intl. collect sales tax?
Alpenland International, Inc. collects state sales tax for orders shipping to AR, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, MD, MI, MN, NV, NJ, NC, OH, PA, UT, VA, WA, and WI.
Alpenland International, Inc. is not required and does not collect sales tax in AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, HI, ID, KS, LA, ME, MA, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NM, NY, ND, OK, OR, PR, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VT, WV, and WY. Your purchase for delivery to these states may be subject to sales or use tax and the laws of these states may require the consumer to pay these taxes. There is no exemption based on the fact that a purchase is made from a catalog or via the internet.
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
How is my card charged?
If your order was paid using a credit card or debit card, we will authorize it shortly after your order is placed; however, no charge will me made until your order ships. If we are unable to obtain authorization, we will contact you. Please note that your bank may hold these funds temporarily as part of the authorization process.
What method of shipment do you use?
We ship most merchandise via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Music and videos are usually shipped via First Class through the US Postal Service. Shipments to a PO Box must be delivered through the US Postal Service. Orders from Hawaii, Alaska, and the US Territories are shipped via Priority Mail only. Due to delays with UPS and the USPS, rush delivery is not currently available. At this time, we do not ship to Canada.
Why did I receive my order in a recycled/reused box?
We strive to keep your shipping charges as low as possible. Since packing material and boxes are a major expense, we decided to recycle/reuse boxes whenever possible. This keeps them out of our landfills and allows us to pass the savings on to our customers.
How are backordered (out of stock) items charged?
You are only charged for items when they ship. If part of your order is backordered, you will be charged initially for items that ship, along with the $9.95 shipping charge. When the backordered items ship, you will be charged for those items only. Any additional shipments are made at our expense, not yours.
What do I do if I receive a damaged or defective item?
Please contact our Customer Service department at (706) 219-0256. You will be instructed as to whether you should discard the item or whether you need to return the merchandise to Alpenland. If you are instructed by our representatives to return a defective or damaged item, your shipping charges will be refunded. We do not refund for packaging, insurance or boxing by outside sources.
Does Alpenland International have a retail store?
In response to requests from our customers, we do have a small retail showroom located at 67 Alpenland Drive, Cleveland, GA. Our showroom hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Call (706) 219-0256 for more information.
Is your website secure?
Yes. When you provide personal or credit card information, it is 128 bit SSL encrypted. Please note: some browsers may show our home page to be insecure - however, as soon as you access areas where private information is required, your browser should show that area as secure. If it doesn't please let us know by emailing email@example.com.
How do I utilize the Account Info feature?
Existing Alpenland customers need to call our customer service department at 706-219-0256 to add an email address and temporary password to their account before using this feature. Once this is complete, you may click Account Login and/or Account Info to access your profile, order history, and additional addresses. You should also change your password at this point to something easily remembered. New customers should click Account Login and then Register.
